This is sadly not uncommon in those who served in the
military. Combat in many circumstances is not a factor in
depression, it can be caused by many other things. Signs
of depression can be mild to severe and last for more than
90 days according to the clinical definition.
Symptoms can range quite a bit but common ones are
change in sleep patterns, from sleepiness to never get any,
loss of interest, loss of concentration, and many more can
qualify as depression. Depression is an abused term and
should not be used in many cases, but it is also often
undiagnosed and under treated so if you suspect you or a
loved one are suffering from depression getting support
and assistance is important. Depression can be a relatively
easy to fix by just getting more active or it may call for
more treatment but ignoring it can lead to a deeper
depression, addictions, suicide or a drug overdose.
Please seek assistance through us or someone else. It
can be treated, the earlier the better. One person is too
many to lose to depression.
